Despite rise in mercury, power situation remains satisfactory
New Delhi, July 21 (UNI) Despite a rise in mercury in the capital, after a rainy weather in the last few days, the power situation in Delhi today continued to remain satisfactory with the Discoms being able to meet the 3375 MW peak time power demand.
However, rotational load shedding of around 100 MW, from 1200 to 1230 hours, was affected in a few localities to maintain the grid discipline.
The power situation in the capital has remained satisfactory since the beginning of this week with the Discoms being able to meet the power demand during the peak period.
With Delhi receiving monsoon rains since Monday, after a gap of nearly a week, the power situation in the capital has somewhat eased since Tuesday.
However, the discoms have had to resort to rotational loadshedding as the Northern Grid has been experiencing frequency problems due to its generation falling far short of the demand.
