Cybercafes may be equipped with cameras

Bhopal, July 21 (UNI) In the wake of the Mumbai transit terror strike and e-mail allegedly originating from militant organisations and dispatched from Madhya Pradesh's capital and some other places to media, a suggestion has emerged to equip cybercafes with the type of cameras employed in ATMs, police said.

Meetings would be conducted with cybercafe managers in this regard.

After the Mumbai incidents, e-mail was sent from here, Indore and Katni -- to newspapers and TV channels -- claiming responsibility for the blasts and warning of further violence. A youth was arrested here in this connection.

For the present, cybercafe managers have been told to maintain records of the names and addresses of their customers and alert the police if any person arouses suspicion.
