Court seeks case diary in bail petition of RJD MLA

Patna, July 21 (UNI) District and sessions judge Mandhata Singh today called for the case diary during hearing the anticipatory bail petition of RJD MLA Rajesh Roshan alias Bablu Dev.

During the hearing, Public Prosecutor(in-charge) Sirazul Haque informed the court that the sections of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Atrocities Prevention Act had been added in the case and there was no provision of anticipatory bail in the said act, making the petition of the MLA as 'non-maintainable'.

After hearing both the parties, the judge directed the police to produce the case diary and fixed July 26 as next date of hearing.

The case was related to tresspassing the office of Transport Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Bihar Pancham Lal and obstructing him in discharging his official duties on July 3.
