City court remands one to 14-day judicial custody

New Delhi, July 21 (UNI) A city court today remanded a 42 year-old-man, who was nabbed by the Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) yesterday, to 14-day judicial custody.

After hearing the arguments of both the prosecution and the defence, Patilala House Court Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kamini Lau remanded Azizur Rehman Hamid Hamidani to judicial custody till August 3.

The DRI arrested Hamidani and recovered mobile phones, electronic computer parts valued at Rs 13 lakh from the alleged possession of Hamidani after his arrival at Indira Gandhi International airport.

Hamidani was arrested under sections 132 and 135 of the Customs Act, 1962.
