Bhim Singh hails victory of Qayoum Khan in POK election

Srinagar, July 21 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has hailed the victory of Sardar Mohammad Qayoum Khan in the recent elections in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).

''We are satisfied with the outcome of the elections after thumping majority received by Mr Khan, who is opposed to any violence and has described killing of innocents in the Jammu and Kashmir as '' no jehad'', the JKNPP spokesman said after the day long Executive Committee meeting here today.

He said Mr Khan, during his recent visit to New Delhi on the invitation from JKNPP, rejected the slogan of ''Azadi''.

He described the electoral victory of Muslims Conference in POK as a victory of the talks which was initiated jointly by JKNPP president Bhim Singh and Mr Khan.

The JKNPP also condemned the continuous spate of violence against innocent people, tourists and pilgrims that was aimed at crippling state's economy and dismantle peace process.

Professor Bhim Singh asked the gun wielding youth to give up the guns and join political movement for the redressal of their genuine grievances.

The Party assured their support to such youth.
