All Govt offices in K'taka to be linked to Vidhana Soudha

Gulbarga, July 21 (UNI) In a bid to expedite the administration process, all the Government offices in Karnataka will be interlinked with Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat, in Bangalore.

Addressing a press conference here today, Information Department Commissioner K V Tagore said the interlinking of Government offices with the Vidhana Soudha would be implemented in phases, for which the Government had sanctioned Rs seven crore.

In the first phase, Deputy Commissioner's offices would be linked, Assistant DC's offices in the second phase, taluk offices in the third phase and all offices in rural areas in the final phase.

The interlinking would enable one to obtain all updated information/data from Vidhana Soudha, he said.

Mr Tagore informed that the Government was planning to set up media centres in every district with necessary infrastructure, including internet connectivity, to enable the journalists to file stories.
