Woman commits suicide, 3 arrested

Akola, July 20 (UNI) Police have arrested three persons in the wake of a suicide by a married woman two days ago in Murtizapur tehsil of this district.

The deceased, identified as Anita Anirudhha Giri, in her suicide note alleged that the accused -- Mahadeo Johri, his son Nilesh and one woman Vinal Yevle -- were defaming her character, thereby causing mental agony.

Therefore, she took this drastic step on Tuesday, police said.

Following this, the trio were arrested under section 306 of Inidan Penal Code, police said and added however, three other accused are absconding.
