Two officials of UDM and Min of SSI for involvement in CGHS scam

New Delhi, July 20 (UNI) The CBI has arrested two officers of the Urban Development Ministry and the Ministry of Small Scale Industries for their alleged involvement in the fraudulent revival of the Central Group Housing Society.

Mahabir Prasad, Additional Private Secretary in the Ministry of Small Scale Industries and P N Sharma, Statistical Officer in the Urban Development Ministry's National Building Organisation were arrested yesterday for fraudulently reviving the Janki Kunj CGHS, the CBI said today.

Several incriminating documents were recovered during searches at their premises and it is suspected that they may be involved in the scam related to other housing societies.

The designated court today remanded them in police custody till July 25.
