Tarararani Front loses APMC election

Kolhapur, July 20 (UNI) The ruling Congress-led ''Tararani Front'' in the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation received a jolt when its candidate lost the Kolhapur District Agriculture Produce Market Committee election.

The election was held to choose a civic body representative to the agriculture produce market committee.

The election was won by Anil Awale, a Janasurajya Party-NCP alliance candidate.

In the 77-member civic body, Mr Awale polled 42 votes while ruling front candidate Rafiq Mulla secured 33 votes. Two votes were not cast.
