SW monsoon advances in West Rajasthan
Pune, July 20 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of west Rajasthan.
The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Gangetic west Bengal and active in east Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat region.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in remaining parts of west Rajasthan, where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Bihar, Uttar Prasdesh, Uttaranchal, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar islands, and at few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan west Bengal and Sikkim, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh and Konkan and Goa and at many places in Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar islands and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Orissa, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
