Suspension purely on disciplinary grounds: BJP

Bangalore, July 20 (UNI) Karnataka Higher Education Minister and senior BJP leader D H Shankaramurthy today claimed that Mr G Janardhana Reddy, MLC, was suspended from the party ''purely on disciplinary grounds.'' Talking to reporters here, he said Mr Reddy had flouted all the rules of the Legislative Council while levelling allegations in the House yesterday that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and two other Ministers had collected Rs 150 crore from the mining lobby.

Mr Shankaramurthy said Mr Reddy had not sent any notice with relevant documents to the House before making the charges and did not take the permission of the Leader of the House.

He said the party had no plans to take any action against Tourism and Bellary district incharge Minister B Sriramulu for allowing Mr Reddy to address a press conference in connection with the bribery charge at his residence.
