South West Monsoon weak in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, July 20 (UNI) The South West monsoon was weak over Kerala and rain occurred at many parts of the State and at a few places in Lakshadweep today.

Kannur, Thalassery, Mavleikkara and Mananthawady received the maxiumum rain of three cm each, followed by Karipur Airport and Kodungallur -- two cms each, according to Meterological office.

It warned of strong wind from the Westerly direction with a speed of 45-55 kms over Kerala and Lakhshadweep.
