Self-financing college pleas posted to July 27 for final hearing

Kochi, July 20 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today posted for final hearing all the cases relating to self-financing colleges to July 27.

Three appeals filed by the government against the interim directive of the single judge came up for admission before a bench comprising Chief Justice V K Bali and Justice M Ramachandran today.

When the matter was taken up, the advocate general submitted that there are altogether seven appeals and all the appeals may be heard together in the afternoon.

But the bench said that it was not possible to hear the appeals at that time and the matter could be heard tomorrow. The court also stated that it did not propose to pass an interim order in the appeals and the final orders will be passed after detailed hearing.

Then the managements counsel suggested that all the writ petitions pending before the single judge also be called for final hearing.

Thereafter the court suggested to propose a convenient date and as agreed by both sides the case was posted to July 27 for final hearing.
