Scheme to provide residence to 'patwaris' in villages
Bhopal, July 20 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government today informed the legislative assembly that it has decided to set up headquarter of a 'patwari' in the concerned 'patwari halke' in order to reduce problems of farmers.
During question hour, Revenue Minister Kamal Patel said office-cum-residences will be constructed for 'patwaris' in about 12,000 'patwari halka'. The district administration has been asked to identify suitable land for the purpose.
He said a provision will be made for these office-cum-residences in the next year's budget.
Replying to a supplementary by Mr Giriraj Mandloi, Mr Patel said 'patwaris' resided at divisional headquarters at present and not at 'patwari halkas' and as such could not provide adequate time.
As the matter was raised about destitutes' pension, Speaker Ishwardas Rohani said it was a matter related to public interest and directed the government to clear pending cases and provide pension to the concerned.
