Rupee opens strong at Rs 46.80 per USD

Mumbai, July 20 (UNI) The rupee today opened strong by 15 paise at Rs 46.80 against the US dollar as compared to the previous close of Rs 47.00 USD, a trader in the money market said.

In the mid-morning trade, the domestic currency was trading at Rs 46.82/83 against the USD.

However, the stock market opened in the green on global cues and is currently trading at 10,301.19.
