Ranbaxy Laboratories Q2 net up 30.51 pc

Mumbai, July 20 (UNI) Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd has posted a profit after tax of Rs 99.83 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 76.49 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, an increase of 30.51 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1005.02 crore in Q2 FY 05-06 to Rs 1,083.78 crore for Q2 FY 06-07.

As per the Consolidated Results, the Group has posted a profit after tax&Minority Interests of Rs 121.1 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 (Q2 FY 06-07) as compared to Rs 101.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q2 FY 05-06). Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1,370.4 crore in Q2 FY 05-06 to Rs 1471.3 crore for Q2 FY 06-07.
