Raman Singh to discuss Naxal situation with Patil
New Delhi, July 20 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh will tomorrow discuss with Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil the recent spurt in Naxalite violence in his state.
Home Ministry sources said the meeting is scheduled to be held in the evening.
The discussion will focus mainly on the Naxal situation in Chhattisgarh, in the context of the attacks on civilian targets by the Maoists in Dantewara district this week. Several people were killed in an attack on a relief camp in Datewara district.
The efficacy of the anti-Naxal 'Salva Judum' movement of the local tribal people is also expected to figure in the meeting.
Chhattisgarh Home Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Security Advisor to Chhattisgarh government K P S Gill, State Chief Secretary R P Baggi and state DGP O P Rathor would accompany the Chief Minister.
Home Secretary V K Duggal, Intelligence Bureau Director E L Narasimhan and CRPF DGP J K Sinha would also attend the meeting.
