Proposal for common facility centres in MP sent to Centre

Bhopal, July 20 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam (MPLUN) has sent two proposals worth Rs 72 crore to the Centre under the Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme.

The proposals include setting up a common facility centre for garment manufacturing group at Jabalpur and food processing groups at Chhindwara, an official release here said.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the activities and functioning of the MPLUN here yesterday.

Finance Minister Raghavji, Principal Secretary (Industry) O P Rawat, MPLUN Managing Director B P Singh and MPLUN Chairman Vipin Dixit were present.

Mr Chouhan directed to keep a close watch on the quality of materials being supplied to government departments by the MPLUN. He pointed out that the purchase mechanism needs to be streamlined and the quality of materials should be assured at multiple levels.

The meeting informed that the MPLUN's Mrignayani Emporium was proposed to be set up at Agra, the release added.
