Procuring Australian visa now easier for Gujaratis

New Delhi, July 20 (UNI) Residents of Gujarat, planning to travel to Australia, will no longer be required to visit Delhi or Mumbai in connection with visa formalities.

The Australian High Commission and its service partner, TT Services, have announced that a new visa application lodgement office will be opened in Ahmedabad with effect from July 24.

The new office will make it easier for clients in Gujarat to apply for visa for Australia.

''TT Services offices are an effective and convenient point for lodging Australia visa applications and supporting documentation.

Visa applicants in Gujarat will now be able to use this service to apply from Ahmedabad rather than travelling to New Delhi or Mumbai,'' Ms Sonya Boylan, First Secretary (Immigration) in the Australian High Commission, here said.

Ms Boylan said the Australian High Commission is working with TT Services to provide even higher levels of client service and the new office will improve even further our accessibility for visa applicants.

Applications for students, tourists, businessmen, family igration and citizenship by descent can all be accepted by the TT Services office in Ahmedabad and will surely be delivered to the Australian High Commission in New Delhi, she said.

The Australian Visa Application and Collection Centre will be open from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs during week days, excluding public holidays.

After the TT Services collection centre is opened at Ahmedabad, the number of its total collection centres will go up to eight while there is one more in Kathmandu.

The TTS web site has automatic links to the phone and e-mail helpdesks, along with an on-line application and passport tracking service.
