Police looking for missing Pakistanis
Shajapur, MP, July 20 (UNI) A police drive is under way to trace nine Pakistani and Bangladeshi citizens who may be residing in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain division even after expiry of their visa periods.
''Of roughly 40 foreigners who came from those two countries in 1970-71, the whereabouts of nine are unknown,'' Inspector-General (Ujjain Range) Anil Kumar told UNI here today.
''It is also not clear whether they have left India. Though none of them have been tagged as suspicious yet, the drive is in view of recent terrorist incidents. A stern vigil is being maintained on SIMI activities and suspects who may wish to whip up communal frenzy,'' said Mr Kumar's deputy Ajay Sharma.
