NMC welcomes constitution of 6th Pay Commission

Jammu, July 20 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has welcomed the Union Cabinet's decision for constitution of Sixth Pay Commission for the Central government emplopyees.

NMC chief Subash Shastri, in a statement issued were today hoped that the Commission would submit its report at the earliest and the new pay scales be put into effect from January 2006.

Mr Shastri, however, demanded that till the report of the 6th Pay Commission is finalised, both the Central and state government employees should be given interim relief of Rs 1,000 per month.
