MCC Area commander arrested

Latehar, Jul 20 (UNI) Police today arrested the self-styled area commander of the banned Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) at Balugaon under Balumath police station in the district.

Acting on the leads got from the arrested ultra identified as Nageswar Oraon, police raided the house of one Rameswar Ganjhu and recovered a rifle, DBBL gun, 80 cartridges and large cache of ammunition from his house.

Nageswar and another accomplice Md Hafiz Ansari were arrested, police said.

The MCC ultra was involed in the encounter with police on July 17 in the district.
