Lalu appears in court

Patna, July 20 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today appeared in a special CBI court in connection with the multi-crore rupee fodder scam case related to fraudulent withrawal of Rs 46 lakh from Bhagalpur and Banka Treasury.

Special CBI judge Muni Lal Paswan, during hearing of the case yesterday, had allowed Mr Prasad to appear in the court, through his lawyer. Counsel of Mr Prasad had sought exemption from his personal appearance in the court due to pressing engagements.

Mr Prasad appeared in the court and his counsel informed that due to changes in schedule of engagements, his client was appearing in the court.

Next date of the hearing is fixed on July 27.
