JERUSALEM, July 20 (Reuters) Israeli aircraft heavily bombed a bunker in southern Beirut where the army said it suspected senior Hizbollah members were holed up.
A military source said dozens of aircraft took part in the operation sometime before midnight yesterday, dropping 23 tonnes of explosives on the bunker.
''We targeted a bunker in southern Beirut where the army suspects senior Hizbollah members are,'' an army spokeswoman said.
She declined to give further information. Military sources would not say who they suspected may have been in the bunker.
