Israel believes Hizbollah weakened: Minister

Jerusalem, Jul 20: Israel believes its bombing campaign in Lebanon has so far destroyed 50 per cent of Hizbollah's military capability, Israel Radio quoted a cabinet minister as saying today.

''The IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) must be allowed to finish the job,'' Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz said.

Mofaz, a former defence minister and chief of staff, said Hizbollah's appeal for assistance from Iran was evidence of the group's difficulties, according to Israel Radio.
