ISA releases member directory
Bangalore, July 20 (UNI) The first compilation of semiconductor companies in India, the ISA Member Directory 2006, has been brought out by the India Semiconductor Association (ISA).
Covering companies relating to VLSI design, board design and embedded software located across the country, the Directory sought to provide broad information about ISA member organisations. The data included details on commencement of operations in India, IP patents filed, employee strength, profile of a company, details of offerings and coordinates for business and related purposes.
ISA had a membership of over 100 semiconductor related companies functioning out of India, according to ISA President Poornima Shenoy.
Talking to UNI, she said ISA's vision was to establish India as the preferred global hub for excellence in creation of semiconductor products through technology leadership.
ISA had also given valuable inputs to the UPA government at the Centre for framing the Semiconductor policy to be released soon.
The Directory was released by Karnataka Principal Secretary for IT and BT Anup Pujari and Andhra Pradesh Secretary for IT Rathnaprabha at the ISA first annual meet held here on Tuesday last.
