I-T offices to work on weekend

Bhopal, July 20 (UNI) Even as the last date for filing Income-Tax returns -- July 31 -- approaches, the Joint Council of Action of I-T Employees Federation and I-T Gazetted Officers Association has called for a week-long demonstration from July 25.

In view of the fact that the agitation might inconvenience assessees, all offices under the Chief Commissioner of I-T, Bhopal charge, would remain open on the weekend -- July 22 and 23, a release said here today.

Returns would be received from 1000-1900 hrs between July 21 and 24, the release added.
