House wife charred to death

Guntur, Jul 20 (UNI) A 25 year-old woman, a house wife, was charred to death in a fire which destroyed about 20 houses at Gundavaram village in Guntur distric of Andhra Pradesh last night.

An electric short circuit in the victim's house, was the cause of the fire, which also spread rapidly to other dwellings nearby, fire service and police said.

The woman was trapped in the inferno.

Television sets, fans, cupboards, gas stoves and clothes were also reduced to ashes in the mishap.
