Freedom fighter Karim Khan critical

Bangalore, July 20 (UNI) Freedom fighter and Gandhian S K Karim Khan, hospitalised with multiple complaints, is battling for life at the Mahavir Jain Hospital here.

Dr Azam, attending on Mr Khan, told UNI that his condition was critical. ''He is put on ventilation. His blood pressure, which had gone down below normal yesterday, has improved today. However, since he is suffering from pneumonia and infection of lungs, his condition is critical.'' ''Until he comes out of ventilation, we cannot tell anything,'' he added.

Mr Khan was shifted to the Jain Hospital on July 10 from the Bowring Hospital and taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on July 18 after his blood pressure dipped.
