Engine of Shramjivi Express catches fire
Varanasi, Jul 20: Rail traffic on the Mughalsarai-Patna section came to halt for hours, after the engine of Patna-bound Shramjivi Express caught fire near Dhina railway station in the neighbouring Chandauli district early today.
Railway sources said here one of the two engines powering New Delhi-Patna Shramjivi Express caught fire.
The engine driver swiftly stopped the train and reported the matter to officials at the Mughalsarai station.
Getting the information, fire tenders rushed to the spot and could control the flames only after three hours. The train left for its destination after a four-hour delay.
Several trains running on the section were affected including Jansadharan Express, Magadh Express and Sampoorna Kranti Express.
