Eight killed in a tractor-tanker collison in UP

Lucknow, July 20 (UNI) At least eight people died and over a dozen injured when an oil tanker collided with a tractor trolley near Rajabpur police station in Jyotiba Phule Nagar district in the western parts of Uttar Pradesh early this morning.

State police headquarter sources here said several injured in the accident are stated to be in a critical condition and have been admitted to the government hospital at Gajraula.

The tractor trolley were ferrying people from the nearby Devipura village who were returning after cremating a body.

The eight deceased have been identified as Saryu Pal(35), Kallu (69), Charan(47), Sauran(30), Vimal(45), Jaipal(25), Sonepal (22) and Ramchandra (52).

Senior police officials have reached the spot. Details are awaited.
