CSB launches global debit-cum-shopping card

Kozhikode, Jul 20 (UNI) Private sector banking major Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB) today launched 'Global Support,'' an international debit-cum-shopping card facilitating account holders to withdraw cash from any VISA branded ATM from more than one million locations.

Talking to newspersons prior to launching the card in the city, CSB Zonal Manager V P Bhaskaran said the card, introduced in assocation with VISA international, could also be used at 24 million merchant establishments worldover.

A customer can also transfer funds to any VISA card holder in India, through the Bank's ATM, irrespective of the bank where he is maintaining account. This facility was now available with only six banks in India, two foreign banks and four new genration private sector banks, he said.

The card was launched in five regional offices of the CSB in the state and its headquarter at Thissur, he added.

Kozhikode Corporation Deputy Mayor P T Abdul Latheef launched the facility by handing over a card to Medical College Principal V Geetha at a function here in the evening.
