Control price hike of essential commodities: TDP

Rajahmundry, July 20 (UNI) The Telugu Desam Party workers took out a procession and staged a dharna in front of the Sub-Collector's office protesting against price hike of essential commodities.

The protesters, led by former minister Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, raised slogans against government and sought immediate action to control price hike of essential commodities like pulses.

Mr Chowdary said the price hike in petroleum products had a cascading effect in the prices of essential commodities.

The agitators submitted a memorandum to the Sub-Collector in this regard.
