Cong leader Virendra Tiwari dead
Bhopal, July 20 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh's senior Congress leader Virendra Tiwari, who served as the CLP's permanent secretary for about five decades, passed away this evening following cardiac arrest, family sources said.
He is survived by his wife, son and two daughters. The funeral would take place tomorrow.
After complaining of chest pain, he was rushed to a private hospital and breathed his last shortly thereafter.
Mr Tiwari was this state's first Youth Congress president and was also chairman of the State Electronics Development Corporation and Textbooks Corporation.
Condolences were expressed by AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh, state Congress chief Subhash Yadav, General Secretary Manak Agrawal and several leaders.
