Communist denounce Isreali bombardment on Lebanon

Srinagar, July 20 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Communist Party of India (M) has strongly condemned the killing of hundreds of Lebanese citizens, including women and children in the Israeli attack.

The CPI(M)m denouncing the Israeli bombardment, termed the attack as barbaric and inhuman aimed at strengthening the illegal and immoral occupation of Arab land.

''It is against the agreement reached in the year 2000 between Lebanon and Israel by virtue of which Israel vacated from the Lebanese soil after 18 years of ill-fated occupation'' it said.

US-Israel aggression is phenomenal to disturb and destroy the stability of independent nations and to capture their resources through these imperial designs, the CPI(M) alleged.

''Aggressive moves by US-Israel imperialism for dominating West and Central Asia, while targeting Iran, Syria, North Korea and Lebanon is proving to be a grave threat to the resolve of third World countries to pursue their independent policies,'' the resolution adopted by the CPI(M) at a meeting said.
