BIS raid on manufactures of packaged drinking water

Hyderabad, Jul 20 (UNI) Officials of the Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) today raided a marketing agency which manufactured packaged drinking water with fake BIS standard mark.

During the raid a large quantity of packaged drinking water and packing material with fake BIS standard Mark (ISI Mark) with the brand names of 'Mountain Drop' and 'Aqua Sea' were seized from Q.M.Marketing agencies in the city.

Action was being initiated against the offendrs under the BIS Act 1986, a release from BIS here said.
