Amendments to the Right to Information Act

New Delhi, July 20: The Union Cabinet today approved introducing a Bill in the Monsoon Session of Parliament, incorporating amendments to the Right to Information Act, 2005.

The amendments will remove the ambiguities and will make the provisions of the Act effective and progressive, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters after the Cabinet meeting that gave the approval.
