Airtel launches 'Fixed Wireless Phone' services in Punjab
Chandigarh, July 20 (UNI) Airtel, India's major telecom services provider today launched 'Airtel Mega' Fixed Wireless Phone (FWP) services in Punjab.
Airtel Mega fulfills the customer needs for an innovative home phone service with the advantages of instant availability, feature-rich instruments and mobility within the premises, Bharti Airtel Limited, Punjab Circle CEO (Mobility) Rajiv Jaitly, said at the launch here.
Through Airtel Mega, the company intends to make available home phones to all customers within ''arm's reach of desire'', he added.
Airtel Mega operates on GSM network and is available in attractive postpaid and prepaid tariff plans.
These services will be rolled out progressively across Punjab. In the first phase, Airtel Mega will be available in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Patiala.
Mr Jaitly said that by the end of September, Airtel Mega will be available in other major towns and villages of Punjab. This service will bring to customers a unique bouquet of value added services including Hello Tunes, SMS, Caller ID and all other services that Airtel has pioneered in the last few years,he added.
He further said that apart from a 24-hour customer care facility, any complaint from a customer will be addressed by a dedicated service team at the customer's premises. Airtel offers its customers ''Mega'' value, whereby calls to all local and intra-circle mobiles would be at the rate of Rs 1.20 for three minutes, he added.
