Action on human rights panel recommendations

Bhopal, July 20(UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government had taken action partially on nine recommendations of the State Human Rights Commission during 2004-05, the Assembly was told today.

In the action taken report on the recommendations presented in the Assembly today by Minister of State for General Administration Nagendra Singh, the government said of the total 29 recommendations, action had been taken fully on 12 recommendation and partially on 9.

Action was underway in different departments on 8 other recommendations.

In most cases, action had been taken against police officials concerned.

The Commission's chairman and members visited different hospitals and jails during the period.
