700 Indian evacuees to arrive in Mumbai tomorrow afternoon

New Delhi, July 20 (UNI) In one of the largest single evacuation exercises during the eight-day old West Asian crisis, India today pulled out 700 of its nationals from Lebanon to Larnaca (Cyprus) for being airlifted to Mumbai early tomorrow.

Two Air India aircraft will bring the evacuees to Mumbai from Larnaca between 1600 Hrs and 1645 Hrs IST tomorrow, a spokesman of the Civil Aviation Ministry said here tonight.

The aircraft will leave Mumbai at 0300 Hrs early tomorrow for Larnaca.

The evacuees were taken to Beirut port earlier in the day to be transported by INS Mumbai to Larnaca.

The evacuation follows the Advisory issued by India to XXX Picking up Second Para of DI 62, External-Labanon- Lead Indian.
