20 injured in road accident

Pondicherry, July 20 (UNI) At least 20 people were injured in a road accident here at Thavalakuppam last night.

According to police, the accident occurred , when a private bus proceeding from Pondicherry to Cuddalore lost control at Thavalakuppam and hit a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus coming from the opposite direction.

The private bus also collided with a fish laden van before coming to a halt.

All the injured were admitted to the Government General Hospital.
