Youth arrested for email in Lashkar-e-Qahar's name

Bhopal, July 19: A youth was arrested in connection with the email sent to media in the name of Lashkar-e-Qahar claiming responsibility for Mumbai serial blasts, police said today.

''Sumit Tamrakar, a resident of Risaldar colony in the state capital, has been arrested for sending the e-mail,'' Inspector General of Police Sanjeev Kumar Singh told UNI here.

Prima facie, it appeared that the youth had sent the e-mail to a newspaper for creating sensation.

Sumit, who studied up to class XII before leaving his studies three years back, does not have a past criminal record.
