Young woman kills son, commits suicide; daughter hospitalised

Gulbarga, July 19 (UNI) A young woman set ablaze her infant son and daughter, killing the boy, before committing suicide in the same way at Ausnoor, about ten km from here, today.

Police said Sangeetha (25) took the extreme step unable to bear the dowry harassment meted out by her drunkard husband. She doused her four-month-old son Sachin, daughter Prema (5) and herself with kerosene and set afire. While Sangeetha and Sachin died on the spot, Prema was being treated at the Government Hospital.

Police said a case was registered against the husband, who was absconding.
