Week-long filmfest to begin on August one

Thrissur, July 19 (UNI) Eighty films from 20 countries will be screened during an international film festival beginning here on August one.

Festival Director P T Kunjumohammed told a press conference today that retrospective of Japanese director Emamura and Cuban director Thomas Eliya would be the main attraction.

The country focus includes films from China, Sri Lanka, Eastern Europe and France.

Three seminars and an exhibition on the growth and development of cinema would also be organised along with the week-long festival.
