Two arrested in woman murder case

Vijayawada, July 19 (UNI) The 15-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the City Police Commissioner Umesh Sharaff to investigate the unresolved murder cases has successfully detected the woman's murder case, by arresting two persons at Srikalahasti.

Talking to newspersons here yesterday, the Head of the SIT and West Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) S M Vali said the 29-year-old woman Y Rajeswari, was found murdered in her residence on July 11.

Mr Vali said the accused Gopi Setty Rajesh and M Indraseena were running a rainbow graphics and mobiles business since November 2005.

When their business failed, they made friendship with a woman on cellphone and used to visit her house in the city frequently.

The duo murdered the woman at her residence and robbed her money and jewellery.

Mr Vali said police managed to nab the accused on the bisis of on their mobile numbers.

The accused would be produced before a local court, he added.
