Three killed in mishap

Chennai, Jul 19 (UNI) Three people were killed on the spot and three others injured when a van in which they were travelling collided with a speeding lorry at Saram village near Olakkur in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu today.

Police said the van was proceeding to Thanjavur from airport here while the lorry was coming in the opposite direction when the mishap occurred.

Two of the injured were admitted to Government General Hospital here and the other to a private hospital here, police said.

The deceased were identified as Senthilkumar (31), Radhakrishnan (41) and Abdul Hameed (40) of Kudavasal in Tiruvarur district, police added.
