SSO opposes harassments in the name of Bangla nationals

Jamshedpur, Jul 19 (UNI) Secular Social Organisation(SSO) today demonstrated before the office of the East Singhbhum district superintendent of police to protest the alleged police harassment in the minority-populated areas in the name of identifying the Bangladeshi refugees.

SSO members, led by its national president Nasar Firdausi, chanted slogans against Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda and VHP leaders Ashok Singhal and Pravin Togadia and demanded to stop checking the ration cards of the muslims, who are the born and brought up here.

Dr Firdausi, also a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha(JMM) leader, submitted a memorandum to SP Ashish Batra in which he alleged that this was a gameplan to harass and disturb the Muslim population in the area.

He requested Mr Batra to initiate actions against such discrimination.
