''This study acknowledges significant presence of SSA Global in the Indian market and the strength of the SSA Route Planning product over home-grown and manual systems,'' SSA Global India MD Thiru Vengadam said.
The Frost&Sullivan study, expected the market for route planning software, to grow with a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 22.5 per cent from year 2005 to 2012.
This is primarily attributed to growth in the awareness of route planning and optimisation solutions and a growing need for automating of the transportation of employees in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO/ITeS) industry.
The total market potential at the end of year 2012 is expected to be 2.61 million dollars, as compared to the current market size of 0.63 million dollars at the end of 2005.
