Peace process must not be stalled: NC Legislators
Jammu, July 19 (UNI) The National Conference Legislators from Poonch today said the peace process between India and Pakistan should not be stalled.
Adressing a press conference, Javed Ahmed Rana and Mohammad Rashi Qureshi said the present situation in the state is vulnerable and the spurt of violence needs to be looked into but the peace process should not be stopped.
It seems that enemies of the peace process are acting under frustration but India, Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir should take forward the peace process in the large interest of the state, they said.
Both the legislatures hailed Chief Ministar Ghulam Nabi Azad's decision of creating new districts, tehsils and 25 per cent increase in the assembly seats.
They also demanded establishment of poonch and rajouri hill development council on the line of Leh and Kargil.
