NCP-led govt failed to live upto people's expectations: Uddhav
Pune, July 19 (UNI) Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray today demanded that the NCP-led state government should voluntarily step down as it has failed on all fronts and has not come up to the expectations of the people.
While addressing a statewise rally here late this evening, Mr Thackeray referring to the recent spate of bomb blasts in the financial capital of the country-Mumbai, he pointed out that even the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh had forewarned the state government that the terrorist organisations were planning to target the city.
In spite of the early signals, the state government did not take any heed of the warning and as a result Mumbai suffered the bomb blasts in which more than 200 people lost their lives and over 700 were injured, Mr Thackeray said.
Ms Himani Sarvarkar, grand daughter of Veer Savarkar joined the Shiv Sena today and also 500 workers from Mulshi taluka joined the party.
